Ok, just want to know if anyone has done this before and what you think. I got a stress frx in my mid-tibia in mid sept. and have been off about 4 weeks. It was a very very mild one -they usually don't catch them that early the dr/ said and he told me i could start running this weekend. i'd have about 2 weeks till our conference meet and am expected to race there. I had a decent base before the injury and was in the best shape of my life. I've been cross training a ton since and am still in good aerobic shape. I've cross-trained to come back from injuries lots of times before and it works well for me. However, i'm worried about hurting something else or jumping into a race too soon since my legs are not used to running. And mentally I lost most of my confidence with the injury. Any advice? Anyone been in this situation before? It's my last xc season but I have a long injury history so need to be careful. What would u do?
