Who would win in a fight LeBron James vs Floyd Mayweather?
Floyd. He'd turtle up LeBron with a body shot in 5 seconds.
Unless you ask one of those guys who doesn't understand specialization and thinks that your average non-runner pro-athlete is super fit enough to go and run a sub-4 mile, in which case the answer is that it's a toss-up and LeBron would be in contention for the win.
partway into first round ... the obvious
What kind of fight? Boxing? If it's boxing, that should be obvious, even with the size advantage. If you are allowing grappling, kicking etc. Who knows then who knows.
The Oscar de la Hoya vs. Shaq fight is worth mentioning here...
There's a reason there are weight classes in boxing.
A spelling bee between the both of them would be more entertaining.
Labron would capitulate after being hit with 1 punch, which, given Floy'd ferocious hand speed, would occur 0.34 seconds into the round one.
Floyd by technical knockout (verbal submission) in less than a second.

Well looks like we found the dumbest person in this thread so far
Weight and height matter SO much in fighting. This is not like saying who would win a 100m, Justin Gatlin or LeBron Games. FM would have to punch up and it would take a lot of force to knock out someone of LJ's size. LB on the other hand could use his long arms to keep FM at bay until he could land one solid punch. It's possible. Anything could happen in the first round. After that it would have to go to FM.

I spoke too soon.
If it's Boxing, Floyd would win.

Floyd's uncle whoops a young heavyweights ass, and Roger isn't as good as Floyd, and was out of his prime at this time.
It depends on if its a pretend fight (like boxing) or a real fight. (more like mma) I think in a real fight Lebron wins in a minute or two. The size difference is just too huge to ignore.
You people pick Lebron...you're not serious right? Like, you're joking and stuff?
I think Lebron would destroy him.
Lebron 6'8" 250lbs. 85 inch Reach.
Mayweather 5'8" 151lbs. 72 inch Reach.

I think Floyd is the greatest ever. I love him but I think lebron would kill him easily in a fight. On the street a real fight? Are you guys stupid?. Lebron ways 250. Floyd 150. Lebron is 6 8 , Floyd is 5 8. So he has 1 foot and 100 pounds.
that's a way bigger difference than your average male female discrepancy.
In a fight lebron should easily win unless he's a total pansy. In a boxing match? I'd hope he'd still win but don't know enought about it.
Lebron James easy in a FIGHT.
Doesn't say a boxing match. Lebron would squash him like a grape in a fight.
Are u joking? Sure, Lebron doesnt box. He is still an athlete who is significantly larger and stronger. If it is any other style of fight besides boxing there is no way LBJ wouldnt be favored. But I guess scrawny runners wouldnt know about these things. LBJ has 1ft and 100lbs on Mayweather in addition to being fit and very strong... He isnt just some random big guy. If its just a "fight", he has this one. The idiots are the ones saying otherwise.

Floyd is a BOXER. It is entirely likely that he is stronger than Lebron. Even if he is only 75% as strong as Lebron, he is a professional boxer. He is an expert at punching fast, hard, and accurately. He also knows how to knock people out. Being half Lebron's size just makes him faster.
If Floyd was going up against another world class heavyweight, then I would choose the heavyweight. But Lebron is a tall basketball player. That means plenty of places for a short guy like Floyd to hit.
Anyone saying Lebron has lost their mind.
