A lot of people have their fair share of pregnancy scares and what not. So I was thinking: what if someone knocked their girlfriend up and had to father a child while running for a school? Would it be possible, or would you focus on one thing? Anyone have any stories? Jared Ward comes to mind

Well, Jared Ward was married and did a great job handling both at the same time.
Ridiculous. The word is bail, to get out of a situation, usually jail. I've never seen anyone "bale" out of the clink.

If the woman can decide not to get an abortion against the father's will because it's "her body" then the father shouldn't have to pay her child support since it's HIS wallet. To not get an abortion when you're not planning on staying with the father, have no consistent income, and haven't finished school is just idiotic. A preterm fetus is nothing more than a small patch of cells - no different from a regular unfertilized egg cell. Let the woman screw up just two lives instead of three.

I also know of one female volleyball all-american who had a child before matriculating. From the perspective of a competing athlete, it seems totally doable. Are they doing a good job of raising their kids, or having a fulfilling academic experience? I'm skeptical.

A fetus at the time of abortion is a mass of cells. It has no thoughts and feels no pain. It's no more important than a tree. In fact, a tree is more important, because it actually provides a service for us. The only reason not to abort an unwanted fetus is ignorance.

Absolutely! As a women I totally support the right to choose abortion. But I think its a choice, and thus, if you don't choose it, you then have to live with YOUR choice. If it wasn't available, I think the father would should have the responsibility our society places on the father (child support) but since the woman has a choice after the fact to abort the child, the father if he wants the child aborted, should not be responsible. IF you object as a woman to abortion, then you have to live with the consequences of have unprotected sex....

The funny thing about the pro-choice crowd is that they are gasping for air right now. They have resulted to making it a litmus test, attacking women who support life. The problem is that with advancements in science, any woman who get pregnant spends hours in the OBs office watching their "lump of cells" grow and move before their very eyes. They feel the "parasite" kick in their stomach, hiccup after spicy foods and become calm when the woman talks and sings softly.
Take a look online at websites like BabyCenter and the like. Millions of Unique Monthly Visitors who track the progress of their "lifeless fetus," usually by name.
Science is requiring women to take a really, really close look at what it is they are actually aborting. Having your first sonogram will change your life. The "mass of cells" that shows up on the screen is breathtaking. Sure, plenty of women still support the right to choose, but it is usually for "someone else," not "them." That will continue to change.

I am a woman and I have supported abortion rights for most of my life. It wasn't until I had my first child that I even had questions about my stance. Now that I have had two kids, I am against it. I am not a very brave soul, so I tend to keep my opinions to myself. I know that many of my friends went through the same change that I did and I think that we will see a more active voice coming from the new moms who have been through the process of seeing their baby at 4/5 weeks, which is what some of us have to do when complications arise early in the pregnancy. You can already hear/see a true heartbeat and it is quite an experience. It has an effect on your views of what is life and what isn't life.
