Meb keflezighi will be making a huge announcement thursday, any guess on what it will be about?

He will reveal that he is really Jason Rexing.
I bet he's retiring
I would guess Meb is retiring. I have a hard time believing he would return to maximum fitness after winning boston. Nothing wrong with ending on a good note! Either way is cool.
signed for new york city marathon.
Possible things he's gonna say: wife is pregnant, expanding MEB foundation, retiring, signed for another WMM, new shoe contract, changing managers, opening up some sort of business tried in 2007 to open up a market with his family but went out of business when the store got robbed.
Hopefully retiring on top. Not many athletes do

Possibilities:
1. Personal confirmation of taking VP of the competitor group
2. Retirement to pursue the position in Competitor
I still see Meb possibly trying to qualify and run in one last Olympic Games, where he will then proceed to retire.
Where do people on letsrun hear things like this? How do you know he's oing to make an announcement?
Meb has been assigned a position on the Cattlemen's Beef Board and will be a spokesman for the Federation of State Beef Councils.
Skechers will announce the release of the "GoMebs"?
He certainly isn't retiring.
NYC Marathon is a possibility. I certainly expect he'll do it, and they usually start rolling out announcements about now
No way he is retiring. As of today, he would be the top seed going into Olympic Marathon Trials. Sure, things could change in the next couple years, but he is not retiring. Since Meb is not a guy that likes to hype things, I'd say he is announcing his position with Competitor, since the corporation would want that. He might also announce a race schedule and maybe even a foundation. But he is certainly not retiring.
He is not retiring...
"In his position, Keflezighi will play a key role working with event managers for Rock 'n' Roll races, developing training content and appearing and competing at events. He still will compete professionally. He said he will run a few more marathons with the goal of making his fourth Olympic team. At the 2016 Olympics in Rio, he will be 41."
He will admit he's an age cheat and that his real age is 47.

There's no reason to retire "on top" or retire at all. You just keep training and racing and you become an ambassador for the sport.
I had a great, 30+ minute conversation with Roger Robinson at a race expo once (there was a long line of pissed off people).
We were talking about running in the 1970's.
I've talked to Bill Rogers and look at Joan Benoit Samuelson- she's slower but loving it.
Keep going Meb.

THIS.
1. NYRR loves Meb.
2. Him fighting to finish the race last year left a mark with NYers.
3. NYRR has a history of signing Boston winners.
4. $$$

That is the mindset of a loser, which Meb is not.

Good one.
I suppose him and ol' lying Dane will then tour the country promoting beef and it's awesomeness!
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
