Le Foot ....you are right....Shannon was not a standout in HS or College based on today standards for stardom....yet she is one best middle distance runners we have...for over 8 eight years!

So how did Shannon make it work? Did she get sponsored right out of college with those stats and get right in with Coach Cook? Or did she have to fight for opportunities initially?

Rowbury had nice college PR's, but you never heard to much about her. Maybe the Duke connection? Hoop crazy place, maybe people forgot about the little cutie who could run and was good in the classroom. Those are nice PR's for sure.
If I recall, she got a stress fracture senior year that limited her training. Not sure what connection got her working with John Cook, but it seems like she trained under him right out of school.
She stunk up the place at NCAA cross country her senior year. Lost the meet for Duke with a huge fade the last km.

Bmart would be my guess. She has improved dramatically and I don't even know what school she ran for in college so I doubt her PRs were very good. The steeple thing is the only one that throws me off.
