I don't know how someone is expected to race hard for 3 seasons, basically from September to June, and not experience some fatigue, particularly mental fatigue. Still, the whole "not being able to break 15" thing doesn't make a lot of sense, as her PR (from last year I believe) is like 15:10 or there about.

She never even ran the qualifying time this year. She reminds me of Bizzari. Will be a giant no big deal at the next level.

Abbey D feels her competitors are able to break 15 minutes.

She's not in a place to do that at the moment, and needs a break.

She looked tired at recent outdoor NCAAs...hung tough to finish third.

It's a big step up from the world of NCAA competition to open running. She's doing the right thing to step back, regroup, and get ready for the new challenges that await.

Right, but it's a weird thing to say because she was NEVER even CLOSE to breaking 15 minutes

Hence it's like Ryan Hill saying he's tired and can't break 13 minutes "at the moment," as if he could otherwise definitely break 13

you idiots are misunderstanding the quote about breaking 15. maybe it should've been reworded by coogan or whoever said it, or just left out entirely, but its clearly meant to say that she believes the race will be won in sub 15 (which i dont think it will personally) and she knows shes not ready or capable of doing it herself.
