The dude has PRs of 3:54 in the mile and 3:36 in the 1500m, and he finished 4th in this race last year.
This year, he finished with the slowest time from both heats in 3:55....anyone know what's up with that?

Coaching
He ate a cookie at a wedding, according to RunningTimes
I'm guessing he's been injured as he hasn't raced much this year. Either that or he tried to train harder this year and overdid it. When you train at that elite level anything can happen, it's a risk
Same thing happened to him that happened to the rest of the guys we might have expected to make the final. They leave it to a kick and anything can happen when left to a kick.
When will these guys learn that jogging through until a lap to go isn't going to work unless you are Rupp.
Raced all obver the place.
Just scroll down further in results of all his usual races.
He had a monster kick last year though in that final. I thought I read he had the 2nd fastest lap of everyone but Centro? Could it be the last year was a fluke? Or a performance enhanced fluke. I mean the dude was a nobody before USA's last year and once again on that level. Smells funny to me with all the drug talk on this board this year.
Classic Simmons athlete. They spend a year or 2 building strength with another coach and then Scott lays on the intensity, huge success, then their career is in shambles. Look how long it's taken Cabbada to get back to form after Simmons destroyed his body. And whatever happened to that Crouch dude from Queen's Simmons coached from zero to D2 champ in a year? Bodies can't handle that intensity unless you are a NOPer!
Wonder if he will cry in this year's flotrack interview too? Flotrack video of the year round 2?
hard to follow huge breakthroughs, better to have slow improvement
