No chance. He might be able to run around a 49 or 50. Even that is probably pushing it.

i bet he could only run like 56-58 seconds. too fat.
In that link he said he might need 6-8 weeks of specific training first.

This ^ is probably about right. No chance at all that he could get near 50.
Only, I wouldn't call him fat. Just not skinny like a runner.

This guy is right I'd honestly be surprised if he even broke 60 the guy weighs what 270 lbs?
its funny when people in other sports don't know dafuq they're talking about
5/10
Is there an interview where he says this?
Lebron never said that. But I'll take the bait....
Lebron is currently 29 years old. So if he spent the next year or two doing 400m specific training, he'd be a little past his prime as far as speed is concerned. But he does have a very good strength base. Dude is strong. He's also an athletic freak.
LJ is simply too heavy for a sub-45 in the 400m. However, his freakish athleticism and strength would be enough to help him go sub 50 with some training. Despite weighing about 250 lbs, Lebron James has a verticle leap around 40 inches. That's insane power. With that kind of power driving a 6'8" frame, you have to think James is capable of good top speed(keep in mind, Usain Bolt weighs over 200 lbs). James also averages 38-39 minutes on the court per game. So he's fairly fit, aerobically. I can't imagine Lebron James being unable to run sub-50 with a few weeks of training. But I also can't imagine a 250 lb man being able to run sub-45.
with a few weeks training, little jordan hasay could dund two-handed

I think 50 flat or just under. I was a distance runner who managed a 51. in the 400, and I've got to believe he has more speed of 400 meters than I ever did. Halfway decent HS girls run 56-58.
maybe under 55
This makes me curious: what are the best vertical jumps that distance runners have managed? Obviously, there are plenty of 800m runners who can jump, so just skip that category and go to 1500m runners and up.
DNF due to cramps.
There is VIDEO PROOF that Lebron James ran just over 425 meters in 42.8 seconds. This was done running 5 laps around a standardized basketball court. He is the greatest athlete of all time.
This was also done after a full practice and he was wearing Jordans.
Are you sure it wasn't Kirani James who said that?
A possibility if LeBron would have gone into track instead of basketball.
In a recent interview Lebron James commented that he could run a 400 easy under 45 seconds.
LetsRun.com Note: We're virtually certain that Lebron never said it but the discussion of what he could run is worth debating.
This. I agree that under 45 is not likely at all. However, those saying he would have trouble with a 55?? Are you kidding me? This board is full of a bunch of skinny white distance guys who actually think a 50-51 is fast. I've run 50.x and Lebron would OBLITERATE me at 200. There's no way he loses enough moving up from 200 to 400 for me to come close to beating him.
Tons of very unathletic guys manage to run in the 50 second range. Lebron could run 48-49 right now with no specific training, and 46-47 if he trained for it.

Yeah right. I guess that was supposed to be funny. But it failed at that too.
