Anybody wanna join me in doing time trials every week and posting the times, along with training, to do an experiment on rates of improvement and training.
I'm probably in the worst shape of my life, haven't been in shape for a decade due to injury, and for the past 4 years or so I've been limited to only being able to run about 5-15 minutes at a time due to the injury (the injury mysteriously got worse 4 years ago, for the previous 5 years or so I could go for as long as I wanted on any single run, even did a 50 miler, but no matter how little or much I ran the injury would pop up usually within a few weeks). I've decided I'm just gonna do my short tiny little runs of 5 - 15 minutes, but try to run everyday, and do a 400, 800, and 1600 time trial each week. See if I can eventually get close to my college PRs off of just time trials. The goal is one year of this to get to near my PRs.
10 days ago on my first run in ages I ran a 2:37 800. It hurt like hell haha.
Did two 10 minute runs and two 6 minute runs in the intervening 9 days.
Ran a 5:48 1600 today.
