These soccer guys would lose in a sprint, and they'd get demolished in a distance race. Absolutely demolished, by minutes.
Some of them, might do well at 800 or Mile, as in not lapped.
Bradley's stat is also not a great one because a lot of that was slow jogging, anyone can be out of shape and jog for 15km/10miles in 90 minutes. Bradley also appears to be jogging more and not running fast skewing the stat.
15km isn't even 9 min pace, and everyone gets big breaks on set pieces/halftime.
Being in shape in soccer implies fast breaks that are sprinting which require great fitness, lots of repeats and Vo2max workouts. These types of workouts are essential for mid fielders, not just jogging around for 90 minutes. Soccer is fast running, not jogging.
I know Wejo/Rojo are probably a bit defensive of the guy given who his father is. But defending his play yesterday or so far this World Cup is ridiculous.
