And by about 9 seconds!
Great run by Ronoh.

Ronoh: 1:00:17
Kipsang: 1:00:25
Kimetto: 1:01:42
bump
(let me get a different handle)
Oh really?
WOW!
That is actually about running!
I loved it. I kept wondering if the pacemaker (Ronoh) was going to throw the race, as we've seen before, but he just kept pushing the pace and pulling away from Kipsang.
Still, it's just one more example of the stupidity of a sport that relies on designated "pacemakers." In most cases, the leaders during most of the race aren't even competitors. In this case, it turned out that the leader was actually a competitor, but who could tell? His bib just said something like "Men's First Place Pacemaker," with no race number or name. It turned out that there was actually a good race for first place, but that wasn't really clear until the end of the race. It's still not clear to me if or when Kipsang understood that Ronoh was actually competing with him.
Missed the stream, is there a VOD anywhere?
what is wrong with Kimetto? he hasn't run well since Chicago
Ronoh who

Again and again, we see that being in front and dictating the pace, is much better than being behind.
Other things being equal, the runner in front always wins.
Certainly the runner in front at the finish always wins (baring DQs of course).
I felt like Kipsang, knowing Ronoh was stronger, sort of gave his blessing to Ronoh.
They tried to interview him at the finish. Sounded like this was his first international race. It was actually pretty funny, czech guy interviewing kenyan guy in english with so much background noise that nobody understood a word.
It was great to see him push and push, but I agree with others that it is sad that it was not obvious until he was pulling away during the last mile that this is a push for the win.
BTW, who knows how did the Czech republic become such a good place to see good road races?
I hope the brojos post a race recap with video, sounds awesome.

Ah, that's quite profound.

Not the best highlights ever but until something better comes up:

Come on, you know this isn't true. For every front running win you can find 3 sit and kick victories.
Ah, but what if he wasn't in front at the start, even though e was at the finish? Does he still win?
he*
So, does he pick up a check for being a pace maker and another for winning the race? Sweet gig.

He should.
Sounds like the plan was for Ronoh and Kipsang to go out fast and break Kimetto early. And they did. They were on 58'10" pace early on. Prague is not flat, is it? 60' and change is a fast time for that course, eh?
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
