The problem with Choge is that he never really wins anything at any distance. He is one of the most versatile, although I'd be confident Farah and Auoita would beat him over any distance from 1500 to 10k, but I would not necessarily say the most talented.
Aouita is a self-outed doper and does not count for anything. If WADA had any integrity they'd put the Aussies under oath and bust all his records and titles just like Lance.
As for Farah, he has
0 sub 7:30's (Choge has 5)
3 sub 13's (Choge has 4)
1 sub 3:30 (only .66 seconds faster than Choge's)
1 sub 3:33 (Choge has 13)
0 sub 1:45's (Choge has 1)
All this and he's four years younger than Farah. Sure, Farah has won a few championships, but those are measures of strategy and luck, not talent - and in Farah's case, they're also about expensive high-tech training that the Choge's of the world can't access. Before he joined NOP, Farah was a 13:05 guy at best. That's how much genuine talent he has, the rest is coaching and science.
At 31, Farah has run 11 sub 13:10's. At 27, Choge has already run 13. In his career, confessed doper Aouita only ran 7. Choge is little and has a loping stride - he will easily transition to 10,000 and run sub 27 multiple times.
The world was shocked to see Farah run sub 3:30. Nobody was surprised when Choge did it. Nobody even noticed - of course he was gonna do it.
Greatest all-around runner of all time.
