How come there's been no talk of the American Miler Club race last weekend. Well I guess i know the answer - NCAAs and adidas were going on - but it's great to see Ulrey back at it.

It was good practice for USAs for Ulrey as well as he ran 3:40 two days before
June 13 - 3:40.60
June 15 - 3:38.73 -

That's Merber's best time since his 3:35 fake collegiate record. Good to see him still in the game. Will that make it into USAs? -

I've heard some other suspicions about that 3:35. What is the explanation as to why it may not be legit? -

-awesome! put them both together, and he's barely got the wr for 3k: -
that's unfair...Komen is a once in a century kind of athlete.

To be fair, El Gueerouj existed in the same century. as did Bekele ...

I was present for Merber's 3:35 at Swarthmore. It was totally legal and legitimate. He beat a cast of real deal guys there. I was also present for the 3:40.40 at Indy. I think he would have broken 3:39 if he would have covered a gap that developed a little past half way. Very strong run by Dorian Ulrey.

That's not a good sign. DFL and a 3:45. -
I was there at swathmore in person when he did it. Nothing funny about it. Just a great race, perfectly paced by Nick Willis (dropped out at 1300 meters which is much longer than your typical rabbit).

Fortunately for Ulrey, neither El G nor Bekele will be entered in USAs. -

Some athletes went the day before to the track and there was no 1500m start line. The next day there was. Many believe the line was painted right at the beginning of the straightaway when it should have been further back, because that track has long curves. Which would make it so the last 300m is more like 280m because of the extra wide curves.
So 3:35 for ~1480m is what...? A 3:38? Explains why Merber and almost every other guy in that race can't come even close to their "PR" from Swathmore. -

Your logic is screwy.
If he could have broken 3:39, then he would have covered the gap.
You might have well have said, "I think he would have broken 3:35 if he would have just run 6 seconds faster." -
no excuse for letsrun not making this event a priority for news and articles, if we want to see interest grow in American, we have to make OUR events a priority regardless of the results! GOT THAT Bros?
thanks for the link and results! -
theyve been running 1500s on swarthmore track for years. they ran a 1500 there the week before for their conference meet. no issues. the lines been there. your just a classic uneducated letsrun fool. calling it short wont make your mediocre prs any better.

To be fair I don't think espn would cover a pickup game between Kelly Olynyk and Shane Battier

People like you are part of problem, no wonder so many of our runners can't get contacts, the so called running media continues to put some of our best prospects on back page if not all...as in this case!
