It looked like he was in fast forward while everyone else was still playing at regular speed.
last 300 38.6?
Yes, but could he beat Ryun?
Vids?
My stream died with 6 laps to go but to that point Ches looked like he was just on an easy shakeout run. Absolutely no sign of strain so I figured it would end quickly.
He made it look very easy too. Didn't even look like he was breathing that hard at the finish.
Is it time to seriously talk about Cheserek going for a major championship medal in the next couple years in the 5 or 10000M?
Granted that was a slow race by elite professional standards. But clearly he has gold medal winning finishing speed and he looked very comfortable, almost bored, with the pace throughout.

I don't think I've ever watched a race where runners were running at the same pace, but it looked so apparent that they couldn't be. Like an illusion. His stride looked so short and he was just chopping, adjusting his shirt, wiping his face, waiting, waiting. Yet a couple of those guys were totally striding out, working hard, and he's tripping up on them. It was strange looking.
And yeah, he has a KICK!
If his progression continues, he's going to be insane.
We have the answer to that "gnarliest kick on video" thread from a while back.
That didn't even look real.

Probably delayed while they put an age gate on it. Pure filth.

Wait, I thought that Chez was supposed to be something like 28 years old by now. Why would anyone think that he is still progressing?
Yeah. The important thing was that Cheserek's jersey was nice and straight before he started his kick. That is what he was really focused on during the race.

People really still debate over his age? Who cares if he's a year or two older anymore? Those other 3 guys in that pack tonight were all seniors. Actually, someone correct me if I am wrong but I believe they were all actually 5th year seniors.
I've seen Cheserek up close in person and he honestly looks like a college freshman or sophomore.
Yet, another jack ass response of a Know nothing
Cheserek's amazing finish could have been even faster. I was standing at the fence on the final curve and watched Cheserek weave through a number of lapped runners. Most of the runners moved out to lanes 2 and 3 forcing Cheserek to move back into lane one only to be boxed in by another lapped runner. I had visions of the lapped runners boxing Cheserek in with Kipchirchir running to the outside and stealing the victory. The offending runner realized Cheserek was about to run him over and moved out of the way.
ya what was up with that? ocd?
I love interviews with Cheserek. They always seem to go like...
"How would you rate your performance today?"
"Coach told me to run smart and I have good teammates and the team, yeah"
Absolutely unreal freshman year.
He was swiping on Tinder with 600 to go while tapping a blunt and handing it to Ahmed.
AMAZING
