How accurate is the Jeff Galloway Magic Mile formula? I did a test mile today and ran 6:35. According to him, this means I should be able to run a 22:15 5k. I would love that time (I'm a slow old lady compared to most of this board) :)

I've never heard of a magic mile relating to a 5k... it's just too short. If you feel like you could hold that 6:35 for a 5k then you're looking right around 22:15 though.
6:35 pace is more like 20:20

Yes, I think the point the magic mile was making is that if I can run a 6:30 mile, I should be able to race a 5k around a 7 minute pace, or 22:00.
