Ryan Hall's high school, Big Bear High School, just had its third sub-9:00 performance by a student. 11th-grader Caleb Webb ran 8:59.17 to win the CIF-SS Masters Meet. That follows Ryan's 8:55 and brother Chad's 8:58.
How many high schools have had three sub-9:00 guys? I don't believe any high schools have had more than three right?
What kind of crack are you smoking. Of course there have been schools with more than 3 sub 9 guys.

There are many H.S. who have had 3 sub-9 athletes, there are several high schools that have had dozens and even 2 on the same team.

Almost 40 years ago, Hammond (Ind.) High had three boys under 9:00 (for two miles--that's worth, what, sub-8:56 for 3200?) in the same season. At one point that season, they were the #1, #2, and #4 HS times in the country.

Hammond High under coach candiano was amazing. They had three in the same season, but still only 3 ever.
Chapa, Keough, and Pinkowski all famously ran under 9:00 for two miles in ONE YEAR for Hammond High School in Indiana in 1975.
Looks like everybody else was chiming in at the same time. That was some trio.
Apologies--I got that a bit wrong. The slowest of the three was 8:56.x for two miles--call it sub-8:53 for 3200.
Hammond's training was famously brutal--so much so that, despite having the same three guys finish something like 1-2-5 in the State xc meet, Hammond did not win the team title. Their other guys were completely beaten up and it took them a very long time to get #4 and #5 across the line.
Plenty have had 3+.

Perhaps I misunderstood your question, I thought you were talking about in the history of a H.S. There have been very few school with 3 on the same team, but there are dozens of high schools that have produced sub-9 runners. There are at least 2 H.S.s right now with 3 athletes capable of running sub-9, but it usually does not happen because the athletes get split between different events and rarely will all get to run a fast 2-mile.

No. No high school in America has ever had 2 dozen (or more) boys run under 9:00 in all of history.
There have been schools with 2 in the same year (I think that is what you meant to write).
Only one school has ever had THREE in the same year.

Yes I was talking about in the history of high school. No high school except for Hammond 1975 has had 3 on the same team.
And only a few have had more than 3 or more ever.
I believe South Eugene and Mead share the record at 6 in their high school history.

There's a school in Iowa with 2 sub 9 3200 runners this year.

I believe the coach's philosophy was that race day should be the easiest day of the week. As for specifics, I have no idea. But I guess he didn't believe in easy days.
