A blanket Wisconsin finish, although only a 2-second gap to Esselink and a bit more to others who ran pretty good races.
Aside from the top 2 there were not many 'names' in this race, although the best known other runner, McClintock finished 13 at 29:33.

Finn dominated this race; she about lapped everyone. Two two are freshmen and no seniors scored.

Don't put the cart before the horse Wisconsin fans. There is a very long track meet ahead with a lot of non distance points to be won.
Illinois is making a big push, but Wisconsin will score big in the 5000 meters.
Wisconsin wins the title. scores 25 points in the 5k. Mo wins, reed second, mal 3rd, and VanV 8th.
Rhynarda non-factor in 9th.

The horse was running well out in front the whole time. I enjoyed watching the whole thing. What kind of team scores 25 points in a 5000? That's right. Wisconsin.
What kind of team scores 49 points between the 10k and 5k? Wisconsin.
Mick Byrne can flat out coach, whether it be Donkeys or Yanks or Can-eh-dians. If I were a young buck today I'd want him to coach me too.
That was some awesome performances by the Wisco distance crew. You can hate on them, but you have to respect what they did with the team title on the line. Nebraska and Illinois threw everything they had at them, but couldn't get it done. Nebraska had more points on the table going into day three, and just couldn't close. Kudos to Illinois,
with their sprint crew, plus a great performance by Joe McKasey (800m win), but the Badgers sealed the deal in the 5k. You gotta respect that.
