I won't be doing an 800m until September this year (southern hemisphere), but I'm interested in how this whole running on hate thing works. Do you get worked up before the race and then go from there? Or do you gradually increase the hate each 200m and get pushed along by the seething anger within?
Also, what kind of hate do you run on? Is it hatred for your opponents? Hatred for the world? The bully who hurt you at school? Or is it the most red-hot kind of hate of all, the hate for no reason, just pure raw emotion?
