Hitting home runs to heaven. No one can catch them.
Cant wait to see Flanagan and Desi at Mile 20, thats where the race really begins.
Look for some fast times...South by Southwest winds = Tailwinds circa 2011 (mutai's unofficial WR).
No one in it but americans?

Forecast is for southerly winds a.k.a. side winds.
How much later?
I'll bet you a dime the woman's race will be won in 2:23:57 or so.
2:07:10 on the men's side
Well what is the deal with running?
Guess my dream of going to the Red Sox Orioles game took a hit. Oh well. Writing about the possible end of 29-years of waiting for an American to win Boston is probably worth skipping one of 162 games.

I can see her finishing on the podium, but a win? Nuh! Is she ready to run 39:05 in the last 12.194988 kms? The obvious answer is no! Maybe she will finish second and Desiree has the potential to finish on the podium too, so maybe third. It will be history if that happens.

Exactly! When I read the subject line my first thought was Jerry Seinfeld.
This quote is is "funny":
"anytime you see an athlete run that fast it catches you a little bit off guard."
The game yesterday was very exciting to watch! Not trying to brag...jus say'n.
If any American, men or women, finishes in the top 3 they will have run the best race of their career.
Possibly, but not definitely. Desi could finish third falling off a lead group off three and come in a minute behind the winner with a 2:25. That would not be the race of her career. A likewise scenario could be generated for Shalane to finsish highly and it not be a better race than her NYC run.
So Jerry Sandusky gave Rojo some good tips...
So the plan was to run 20 miles and then blow-up ?
20 miles of quality "show off that navel" time on TV, that's what really counts

If there's any truth to that, it would be really, really sad.
given Meb has an Olympic medal I wonder how he rates this to that?
