So he's been the one writing all the troll posts as "A Duck"?
-
Ritz has crossed-over to the gray-zone.
-
Obviously building a resume for future interest in coaching. Question is is he still w salazar/portland?
-
Wetmore has Jenny and Emma Coburn as volunteer assts. Maybe Ritz just isn't hot enough.
-
Ritz is fragile.

Is your IQ below 90? --You don't even know the definition of the word "troll" as it regards the interwebs. -
Was that a requirement to get some attention from AlSal, and also to be provided with the Rupp/Farah "good stuff"?
-
Easy way to get free travel to races.
Resume builder for when he retires... -

I'm willing to wager Ritz would be a great coach. His experience running against/training with the best in the world and learning how to deal with injury mentally/physically are quality experiences for a coach. -
Is that jenkins in the grey shirt?

Yes, he is still with AlSal. I'd venture to say Ritz travels down to Eugene once or twice a week to help coach. It's a good foot in the door, especially since the local Portland colleges already have a few volunteer assistants each. Good for Ritz. -
Working in this capacity is not only beneficial/inspirational for the Duck team, but it can have the same affect on Ritz. I'm sure he's been bummed out a lot over the past couple years with injuries that have taken him out of some key races/targets. Seeing young guys full of energy, drive and passion can remind you what it's all about.
Good for him. -

I agree with that. Ritz is also a smart guy, knows the sport, and would probably make a good coach for distance runners.
I wonder about the distance between Portland and Eugene however. Is he doing full time training or cutting back while he gets over his latest injury? -
I see some parallels between Ritz and AlSal actually.
Both known for incredibly tough training as youngsters, both with a reputation for toughness, both learning the lesson over the years that smarter is usually better than more (but you need both).
Anyone think Ritz could follow the same general model? -
PLEASE tell me how Oregon can have yet ANOTHER coach per NCAA rules:

Boycott Nike, 2014 Prefontaine classic, runnerspacing.com, Hayward field, 2014 NCAA Champs, UO, and Ritzenheim.

Except that Ritz is a nice guy.
