Hey All,
I'm new to these forums, and have come here to ask a question regarding a prediction for my 800m time this year, as well as how I can further improve. I'm a Sophomore in HS.
Today, I ran a time trial 800m in 2:20 at practice. The first lap (400m) was 1:03. The next lap was 1:17. Very bad splits, I know. I probably could have done better the second lap if it was a race, as I wasn't very tired, and already had a good spot in the time trials.
What do you think I can run the 800m in right now, with spikes & during an actual race. (I wasn't wearing spikes)
What do you think I can run by the end of the season, and how can I get there? I really want to go sub 2:10, but 2:07 would be better.
Thanks!
