Coach James Li interviewing for Washington State

So if he gets the job he will go recruit more Kenyans and be heralded as a great coach. Too bad any non-Kenyans will stagnate and fail to develop under him like usual.

I love that WSU has hired a basketball coach today. They fired their old coach less than three weeks ago. They have known that Sloan was gone after this year for OVER A YEAR now and still don't have a new track coach. During recruiting season....you can tell Moos clearly doesn't care even the slightest bit about Track and Field. Too busy updating his enemies list on who to screw for bowl tickets.

WSU, OSU, and UO will be remaining in the NCAA when the rest of the PAC-12 leaves for the Power-Five League startup in 2016. The nine PAC-12 schools leaving the NCAA will re- realigned by geography. The details have yet to be announced.

But coaching one of the best runners ever on the planet who performs well constantly year after year after year does make you a good coach.

The University of Arizona women ran well in cross country in 2013, so Coach Li seems to do a good job with the ladies.

I don't imagine that Bernard Lagat and Lawi Lalang would be very happy to see Coach Li leave Tuscon.

At this point, Li is the best option for WSU. Everyone else they considered was a joke! Moos has really couged it on this one. Taking too long for this process and losing recruits. This does not look good. Best of luck to the Cougs.

He's not the women's coach Mo Huber is.

Does Lagat retire if Li leaves?

Mo hardly coaches. She's more like a pretty face that Li needs around for recruiting. Lagat hardly needs Li right next to him in Tucson to be fast. Lagat will be fine with Li in Pullman.

James Li is a good coach, but he has to improve his communication skills. If he can learn to communicate better with his athletes he will be a good head coach for Washington State.
