Runners, has anyone experience with ceramic lightweigth spikes? I am focusing on 1500 and 5000. What are the pros and cons of these spikes.
On internet I can' t find experiences.

It really doesn't matter.
However, the ceramic should be slightly lighter, more durable, and more expensive. They also come in a wider variety of colors (yes, I've put specific colors in a shoe because I thought they looked good).
They might not make you measurably faster, but I figure if you spent good money on top of the line shoes, might as well spend the dollar or two to upgrade to the best implements!

If you are buying in bulk for a high school team, you might want the value of steel spikes. I guess I've also noticed that the cheaper steel spikes are sometimes sharper (easier to rip through skin?) They say that the cermic spikes have a duller tip so that it compresses the track better, i think.
Pyramid vs x-mas tree vs needle (don't get these) could be another debate. I think tree spikes are outlawed in some venues though (even though some higher end spikes with permanent spikes utilize them).
I think there is another shape of spike (compression?) that might not be allowed at certain tracks, but I can't remember who sells them.
Ceramic doesn't rust.
