First of all, I'm a 17 year old junior male. Sophomore year track PRs were :55 400m, 2:08 800m, 4:56 1600m, and didn't run the 3200m. I also run XC and have a 17:53 PR. (XC isn't my strength.) Ran about 20-25 mpw for 3 months during winter and now it's finally outdoor season on April 3rd.
On Monday, I had a workout of 300m (45 seconds), 300m recovery walk, 3x200 (26,27,27) with 200m recovery walk, 4x100 (15,15,15,14) with 100m recovery walk and after that workout, I had to do an easy 3 mile run at 19:33.13. Tuesday, the team had an indoor meet, but I didn't run in it for personal reasons. On Wednesday, we had an easy 5 miler because of the other guys recovering from Tuesday's meet. Thursday, I did 4x400m at 1:02, 1:03, 1:04, and 1:05, with 200m walk/200m jog recovery and a quick 3 miler in 17:46.40. Then Friday (yesterday), we did 300m (44 seconds), 300m walk recovery, 3x200 (26,25,24) with 200m walk recovery, and 4x100 (13,13,12,12) with 100m walk recovery with a decent 1.5 miler at 8:31.31. (The reason why Friday's times were faster is because my coach had a sprinter rabbit for us so we could run the absolute fastest times.)
So what do you guys think my 800/1600/3200 times could be this season? I was hoping for sub 2:05 800m, sub 4:40 1600m, and sub 10:40 3200m. Any comments or tips, feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
