Qualities need: Superb track and field interest, good writing ability, willing to work long hours
We prefer to hire an injured or retired runner because then we know you won't waste 2-4 hours a day running around in circles.
My brother and I ran in Kingston from a cruise ship and it turned out to be a bad idea. Created a lot of attention, some silly, some scary. We didn't have anything valuable with us, but we cut the run short and head back to the boat.
No issues in other islands though.

I meet all qualifications and I'm injured. I have a masters degree in a social science, and got mostly good grades on my work, so I assume I have pretty good writing ability, but I'm not published yet. I definitely have an interest in t&f, I'm here, aren't I. When I heal I won't do something so silly as run 10 miles at 1 am, I'll start at 12! If you're serious, shoot me an email.
I taught at the Alpha Girls Academy for a few days last winter. We stayed at a hotel in up town Kingston, even there I wouldn't advise running around at 1am. My professor who lived and taught down there for 8 years told me of a story where a female was taken advantage of on a run. 99% of the people down there (same as here) would never do anything to harm you, but those that are out for no good have less fear of being caught there. My teammate and I had to pound some runs on the treadmill while in Kingston, but we did get to go on some sweet runs when we were on the north side of the island.
ps. make sure to eat some patties, those things are like candy.

Running after 1 AM?
Many years ago a friend & myself who both were working a 4- 12 AM shift - used to meet during 1972 (pre Munich) for an 8 - 10 mile 'morning' run. Used to make it a double w-out for me to raise my mpw
See plenty of runners getting a w-out in around 4 am, their before work training.
Mind you I have lived in a relatively quiet, non-threatening neighbourhood - except for the deer - that's another sore issue around here, which is rather sad.
