Blade Runner: Greatest Sci-fi Movie of All-Time?

I would probably agree. The atmosphere in Blade Runner is so good, I almost wish I was living in this future dystopia.

Star Wars followed shortly by The Matrix. Blade Runner is pretty good though.

Blade Runner and 2001 are definitely up there, but also 5th Element deserves consideration, as does Inception (I'm serious).

I personally think The Blob was the best sci-fi movie of all time. I could see 2001, though.

The Are-Robots-People genre was already long overdone before Blade Runner. Interesting for its miserable style but unoriginal otherwise.

I agree. 2001 FTW, but Blade Runner right on its heels. Those movies are SO good you'll never see anyone trying to do a re-make of them.

Blade Runner is the most overrated Sci-fi movie of all time. I tried to watch it three times and never finished it. And I'm a Sci-fi person. Ender's Game is all my all-time favorite Sci-fi book.

My vote is for the Matrix, but you have to pretend that the second two movies never existed.

Star Wars doesn't count on two fronts. First, it's not particularly Sci-fi. It's more of an epic myth than a Sci-fi. And second, it's just not that good. So sorry because I know we all loved it when were 8, but that's just how it is.
