Legit, organized race of any kind where entrants are seriously competing against the clock if not each other, with an entry fee or a result recorded somewhere public, as opposed to training, trials etc.

Do high school races count?
If counting grade/high school track and xc, ~ 50
If it's in a high school meet, of course. Or running a road race in high school.
I never won in high school so I only have 3 wins that I remember despite running mostly 800.
Hundreds. More than I can specifically remember.
bonus question, have you ever won a race with a finishing tape? If I ever do, I'm keeping the tape as a trophy.

yes. Finish line photo on the front page of the sports section (mid-sized town). They kept the tape for the first lady.
One time in my adult life I did that. It had a tape and the winner was given a trophy too. There were about 70 people in this road race, I was 51 and my main competitor was a young fella about 45. I ran as hard as my elderly legs would take me because I wanted that experience.
Actually I had knee surgery about a year and half before so it really felt good to being running again.
(Yes it was a slow group)
I broke tape in the fall and they rolled it up and it was back in race directors pocket in a heartbeat...
Jeez, maybe 4 or 5. A couple JV XC races, one track race, and a couple road races. That's it for me. Tons of age group crap.
10, and only one of them in a "t-shirt" race. Strangely I've won more when not in great shape. At such times, I'll run less competitive races than I do if in great shape and chasing fast times.
Do heats count? At least 12 if so. From 600-10km
I "won" a Color Run. Then it occurred to me, in reality, I was the one who lost.
I think 9 with half being high school tri meets with 6 varsity runners. 10 if heats count. 13 if relays count. I've only anchored one winning relay though.
Maybe around 100 or so. Most of them weren't very competitive in the grand scheme of things. Only one D1 collegiate race. One USATF trail championship. Two that paid >$1000 for winning open and masters.

Can't count the number of track races, between high school and college it's a lot. 1 XC race, 20 or so road races.

Indoor sprints would be pushing it. How about >= 5 opponents and ideally >= 7.

That's why if I ever break one I will grab it with both hands as I cross and tear off a piece. If they want it back they can try to outrun me.
Over 50 less than 100. From one mile up to 50 miles.
