Or did Salazar think the Schumacher guys were intentionally more physical with Rupp? Or did Salazar's frustration over the women's 3k final just spill over and did the tension between the two groups get the better of him? Finally, any confirmation to the claim that Schumacher said, "at least my guys aren't on PEDs."

The poster who claimed that Schumacher said "at least my guys aren't on PEDs" admitted he had made that up.

Might have had to do with Ryan Hill. He cut off Rupp once during the race and pushed or almost ran into Lagat at least twice.

Apparently Jerry was the one who tipped off the GG camp that Alberto was filing a protest and said something to the affect of 'better hurry before Alberto has his way'.

Part of you has to wonder if Jerry wasn't motivated by the fact that he could keep the number of NOP athletes going to worlds down one and not look too outclassed on the coaching front rather than for the good of the GG camp.

Well, considering the guy who said that he heard that later recanted and said he made it up - then no.

Oh, yeah, I forgot about the "tipoff." I think you're right. That's more likely to be the reason.

I would think he would be happy if Hill took out Lagat.
