He should be more tough like Chris Solinsky and just PUSH through any nagging pain. I'm sure nothing bad will come of that.
The typical Rupp-fanboy response is to attack someone else to make their hero look better.
Ken Stone, the dbag that puts out masterstrack.com is the biggest piece of trash in track and field. He once told the Washington Post that drug-testing "is a waste of money, it goes against the ethic of masters track, it's a nuisance and it won't even stop the doping it pretends to attack."
His piece of trash website should be shut down and he should be banned from any connection with USATF events.
What he said is exactly what you've expect from this a$$hole.
Ken Stone always has been and will remain forever...a nitwit.

I don't know him, and in that instance he's quite correct.
In fact, drug testing is a thinly veiled promotion of doping.
This guy is just trying to get some hits to his website for his opinion that doesn't really matter...

Ok... How, please tell me, can I "Like" the Hell out of this post from jjjjjjj????
It was said in jest.
Ken Stone might be all the things you are calling him and he might be right in this case too.

Yeah, he should have put an Androgel patch on it and raced
through it.
Serious masters runners are the most annoying subset of runners around, worse than hobby joggers by a long stretch.

Right. Because solinsky will always be the people's hero in the fight against the dark, evil, galen rupp.
God, shut up! YES HE SHOULD PUSH THROUGH PAIN. THAT'S THE POINT OF BEING A RUNNER, NOT TO ALWAYS RUN WHEN IT FEELS GOOD BUT TO RUN WHEN IT HURTS, RUN WHEN YOU FEEL LIKE SHIT, RUN WHEN YOU GODDAMN WANT TO QUIT! WHY DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND THAT?
he meant it as a sarcastic compliment to rupp, who obviously is a medalist and the opposite of a wuss. and he says so in the comments:
Ken Stone - February 10, 2014
It was a joke, Steve.
I think the real issue here is that Steve Vaitones, major player in USATF-NE jumped all over Ken, attacking Ken's talent and success as an athlete in response to a perceived attack on his golden boy, Rupp. Steve, wtf?
hardyharhar wrote: ...his golden boy, Rupp. Steve, wtf?
Steve was very worried about loss of revenue. It is best to pretend Rupp's DNF(s) never happened.
Wow, all of you and this Steve idiot sure look dumb.
