What do you thin about running on hate for various distances. Some say the 800, but could it work for distances one mile and up?

It generally only works for the 800 and below. There are isolated reports of people running the 1000 on pure hate, and I've heard an urban legend that a high school kid once split the 1200 of a DMR on pure hate.
Gerry Lindgren ran nearly a whole marathon on pure hate, only giving in to compassion the last .2
You can always run the last 800 meters of any race on pure hate. Save it up and let it fester, then release on the last two laps.
anything over 800m and you're overcome by a sense of camaraderie with your competitors since you spend so much time together
I don't think you can run a 600 NOT on pure hate.

Gotta let the demons out.
I've raced everything from 800m to 50 miles and beyond on absolute negativity. Not sure it is hate, just more a sense of outrage.
Keeps me functional in society and combats complacency/softness.
Brooks was wrong. Don't run happy. Run pissed.

I find The Pure Hate is my best source of energy no matter what the distance. That or being in love, but The Pure Hate is forever, whereas being in love is temporary so not very dependable as an energetic strategy.
You know how Nick Symmonds is always going on about diversity and don't hate people? Total lie. He does it to psych out his opponents and make them race badly.
Secretly Nick Symmonds hates everyone. He especially hates gays. Can't stand 'em. He talks about gays before big meets to work himself into a seething rage, which he hides behind his dorky smile and affable demeanor.
And you know why Matt Scherer and Bram Som are always the rabbit? That's right, everybody hates them. Their presence on the track pisses everyone off and makes them go much faster. Scherer ran that 1:54 on purpose just so Symmonds will hate him even more next time he rabbits for him. As long as everyone is out to get him, Scherer will always have a job.
Jason Rexing ran a 13:55 5k on pure hate in trainers.
Generally you save up your hate for the last 400-800 of a race, although I once ran one of my best 2400/1600 races off of pure hate. I was always getting beat by this kid that would force me to lead and would pass me with 400 to go, as I didn't have as good of a kick. At our district meet I ran the first two or three laps all on hate. I went 1:07 for the first 400 and went 2:22 through the 800. I slowed down a lot, hitting the 1600 in 5:09, but hung on for the win. It was one of the hardest races I've ever ran, but it was worth it. An hour or so later I ran the mile using the same strategy, but I did not have as much hate reserves. I also went out in 1:07 and hit the 800 in 2:22, but was gassed the last 800 and ran the mile in 5 flat for the win. I wonder what I could have ran if I went for even splits. It doesn't matter though since I was going for the win not for a time. I suggest that if you are going for time you should try to run evenly and save your hate for the end.
oops, forgot a question mark
can you run relaxed on pure hate?
9/10

Hate and relaxation are antagonists. Form drills can be used so that they don't

Hate and relaxation are antagonists. Form drills can be used to prevent that they fire simultaneously.
with trainers you can wrote:

You are mistaken. He was thinking compassionately about puppy dogs and daffodils. Who knows what could have been done on pure hate.
I once ran a 60m on pure hate and I had a heart attack just after the finish. My head almost exploded as well. I was dead for 5 minutes, legally. Too much concentrated hate in a short burst of time -- use your hate responsibly.

What you have to understand is that some people are not happy unless they are pissed.
Stay thirsty, my friend.
Someone should create (and let's run should sponsor) a sports drink called "Pure Hate."
