Men's 800 final in 92 Olympic Trials New Orleans. Johnny Gray went coast to coast on a US soil record but the kick was from Mark Everett & Jose Parilla running in 7th & 8th with 120 meters to go to gain the final team berths. Poor George Kersh ran 1:44.00 to finish 4th the second time in a row.
Fermin Cacho ran a pretty fast last 400 in a slow 1500 in Barcelona Olympics.

Sage just did a Webb for a 100 and hung on. The whole kick is not as impressive.

what... he puts nearly 70m between him and 2nd place in 200 meters... thats more than "holding on" besides announcer says hes they were going about 8:50 pace or so which is about 67.5 quarters, he busts a 57 or so final lap, you know only a 10 second difference...

its an 8:42, with a final 57/58 400 in highschool.... really... that kind of kick in highschool on that kind of pace is amazing. I'd equate it to a 53/54 or so in a ~13 flat 5k in a diamond league race.
