2 seconds faster than Cain ran at the same meet last year. Unbelievable. I would've thought that anything under 9:20 would be a very exciting result. Her previous PR was 9:30.

In fact, I believe that 9:02.10 is Cain's PR. Did Efraimson just take down a Cain record?!?
Awesome
Wow, looks like Cain might have some competition. Can she get Cain's 2mile record?
In other news, Mary Cain switches out of the mile race in two weeks (to duck Alexa) after having already switched out of the 800m (to duck others).
Down goes Cain! Down goes Cain!
Kind of reminds you that while Cain is running these meaningless race all for publicity that all AlSal really is nothing more than a high school coach.

Her coach said he believed her to be in 4:31 mile shape at nxn. I'd say he is not a fool.
Where does Elise Cranny fit into this? I can't recall if she is faster or slower than Efraimson.
Actually equals. 9:43

She's focused on the 1500m @ World Juniors this year, and will likely be running 800m/1600m during the track season, just like last year, so... probably not. At least, not this year.

Cranny was one second faster at 1500m last year (4:15.07 vs. 4:16.00).
What stupidity. Cain, a hs junior, runs in events like US open nationals and Worlds and you accuse her of ducking! If anything, she may be a bit too ambitious. We'll see on Feb 15.

Ducking? Dude, Cain ran in the World Championship finals last year. She's clearly not afraid to race.

My source: IAAF tables. Yours?
Mercier 9:43
They are more legit than iaaf tables.
if you don't know what mercer scoring is and how it relates to iaaf tables you shouldn't be in this argument
Where is the University of NA? It can't be a HS record if she's in college?

Maybe she's afraid to race her own peers... and possibly get beat.

Um the only accepted conversion... You must not follow track at all.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
