He's going to run instead. I didn't realize it was necessary to pick between the two.

I'm not watching it either. I don't get the appeal of watching Neanderthals try to get a piece of brown leather from one end of a field to the other.

Even as a track fan, I find that football is a lot more interesting to watch than a track meet.
Also, not sure why people think it's cool to announce they are not going to watch the Super Bowl but anytime I hear people say they are not going to (which is rare), those people make it seem like they are above watching the Super Bowl.
Not to mention that "Not For Long" applies to most track athletes as well (Nick has been smart/fortunate enough to have an unusually long run).
Mr. Symmonds is a shrewd business man. He's a Brooks man now. Broncos versus Seahawks is the quintessential Nike Bowl. This is just another Symmonds dig at Nike.

in other words, you were unpopular in middle school
Yes I was unpopular in middle school. Now, my former classmates are all obsess slobs on welfare and I just got into one of the best med schools in the country.

I was popular in middle school, but won't be watching the game either. Best day of the year to ski.
Why does he refer to Seahawks as water birds?

Are you being serious? More interesting? Do you have a 3 second attention span? ADD much?
I won't be watching the Super Bowl either. And I can't run 1:43 for 800 meters

So you're voluntarily just as poor as them and are taking on loads of debt? How does that make you better than them??? And ALL of your former classmates are slobs on welfare?

When they get 30, they will still be obese slobs on welfare, whereas I will have an intellectually fulfilling career and make 200k+ for the next 35 years.
He's never watched football. Big deal!
I announced that I'm not watching it either earlier this week.

But with a ton of debt to pay off as well as diseased clientele to deal with everyday and really late nights. Not to mention that it hasn't happened yet. As it stands, you're no better (probably worse in fact) off than the people you're insulting. When you actually do start making $200k then ok. But not yet. There are plenty of people that go to med school and don't become doctors. That could be you.

Well, we know what side of the slob fence YOU are on.

When you make as much money as physicians do, paying back loans is never a problem. Jealous or ignorant people tend to like to think "Doctors are drowning in debt" but this is rarely the case. People who want to do med school but can't, try to find something to justify their reasons for not going into it. Also the attrition rate for med school is 2%.
I won't be watching it either, but that's just because a) I'm not much of a sports fan (despite having been a college coach for 20+ years), and b) I have a lot of other stuff I need to do. Plus it seems like a great day to go to the movies.
What time (Eastern) will the game be on?
