King Ches is for real. Running with Dunbar until a lap to go he closed like crazy for a 3:55.6 on my watch. He is for real!

Not a full mile and oversized track. Counts for little.

Counts for a lot. 3:57 mile on any track is a great performance.
The people that created conversions for qualifying purposes found no difference in benefits from oversized and 200 banked tracks. Performances are thus considered equal if two people run 4:00 with one running on oversized and one on 200 meter banked.
5:32.4 + 3:55.6
The young man is that good
3:55.6 killing folks is a monster
Monster=Most definitely. Young=Most definitely not. One day everyone will learn that people in different cultures could care less about age restrictions imposed by Americans. Regardless, he is one hell of a runner.
3:57 mile equivalent for a Kenyan NCAA champion is a bit...unsurprising. His multiple defeats in the mile in HS were the real surprises.
The real question is, will he be able to speak a full paragraph in English by the end of his Oregon career?

Speak a paragraph? Now you're just asking for the impossible. Although iguess maybe he could eventually learn to awkward a paragraph, like rupp has with his body language.

No. The real question is will he whore out his body like Suzy Favor when he stops running.

What people really want to know is whether he will be a little baby like Lukas Verzbicas and quit on the ducks or whether he will be a big man like Centro and stick it out for 4 years.
the guy is the same age as solinsky, is this performance really that impressive>
yes. he is doing it clean. that other guy ran fast once then disappeared.
His English is fine and he is not awkward at all in interviews.

I was very surprised at what a nonfactor he was in that allstar field of a boys national mile race.
