whatever the conversion is for a 4:06.5 1500m is for cain. moser a second back. Then D'agostino ahead of hasay 3 secs back from moser. Rowbury is in the race too right? not sure about her.

That sounds right...latest I heard is Rowbury is not in the race.
you have to take Cain ftw
I am really admiring Hasay here - she really seems to love running and racing - she's all 'any race, any time' I doubt she is much of a miler, but there she is.
Probably will be a challenge for al sal to keep her from tiring by summer

138 names on heat sheet for mile, there will be like 11 heats but they aren't shown yet. But the top 12 listed are...
1 Galligan, Rose-Anne Unat-Nike Or
2 D'Agostino, Abbey Dartmouth
3 Cain, Mary Nike Oregon
4 Moser, Treniere Nike Oregon
5 Browning, Charlotte Ragged Mount
6 Hasay, Jordan Nike Oregon
7 Herrick, Stephanie Cptc New Bal
8 Rowbury, Shannon Nike Oregon
9 Sisson, Emily Providence
10 Nagel, Laura Providence
11 Burne, Olivia Stony Brook
12 Koch, Erin Cptc New Bal
The new link on the homepage also indicates that Rowbury will be running. Can anyone in the know shed some light on this?
Does anybody have a link to the schedule?

You have the coach-athlete dynamic wrong. She is not in the driver's seat pushing a reluctant coach to run these underdistance races. At best, her and Salazar have agreed on a Master Plan (that he made) that includes these races for the benefit of long term development. At worst, she doesn't want to run races where she gets her doors blown off but Salazar manipulates her into them because of the Master Plan.
I am not saying that a someone focused on the 10k running shorter races indoors is right or wrong, I'm just saying that from the way I read your post it sounded like your idea of the professional coach-athlete relationship is backwards.
I hear you and agree your version could be right...but we haven't a clue. Every athlete-coach relationship is different. Maybe she wants to race a lot and al sal has to deal with that.
on the other hand, maybe with Centro Al Sal has to push him to race more. I dunno.
My point is that there isn't just one athlete-coach template that everyone has to follow, obviously. A great coach will work with the individual and figure out what works.
My sense is that hasay likes to race a lot, or at least is used to doing so.
...and furthermore, to my original point: I love to see pros who can't wait to get on the line. Always inspiring.
I'd be surprised to see Hasay faster than 4:35 or 4:36 but Cain could be high 4:28 .
D'AG for the WIN. 4:31.4
Turns tactical after the first lap.
Cain 4:31.9
Hasay 4:33.2
Moser 4:35.1
I'm more excited about the D'Ag vs Providence matchup. I know D'Ag is trying to work on her speed this winter as she has her 5k spot already for NCAAs, and these Providence girls are right behind her on the TFRRS 5k charts.
D'Ag: 15:40.55 5k | 4:30.03 mile (2013)
Sisson: 15:40.62 | 4:38.49 (2013)
Nagel: 15:42.60 | 4:46.53 (2012)
D'AG for the WIN. 4:31.4
Turns tactical after the first lap.
Cain 4:31.9
Hasay 4:33.2
Moser 4:35.1
-----------
NOP stated that they are running for records. The most important runner at the beginning will be the rabbit. I predict the rabbit will lead to 2:12 800. Abby is a very strong runner, but does she have miler speed? Cain does not lead but will have a strong finish. Hasay will be the follower throughout. Moser is the one I see taking the lead at 800, but no sure if she can maintain the pace set by the rabbit, so I see them at 3:20 at 1200.
1. Cain 4:25
2. Moser 4:26
3. Abby 4:28
4. Hasay 4:30
expect they cant run fast enough to get the record, that was proven in the 1km.
whats the WJR for the indoor mile? this could be just the mary cain show.

Why do you think Hasay will follow? She went out in front at Dempsey. I think it'd be smart of her not to go out in front but that's not how she raced just last week.

And she looked very good doing it, too. A 62 lap was excellent. But she was in the lead with 150 to go and faded very badly so I don't think she can maintain a fast pace for an entire mile if she can't do it for an 800. They may not have rested for the 800 so that is a consideration. But still we know that Moser likes to place herself at the front, and I'm sure that Mary and Abby will be right on her shoulder. With that kind of crowd on an indoor track it will be interesting to see what Hasay will do. The pack will be tight up through 1200, and it will take alot of effort for Hasay to put herself near the front. I think she will be content to trail the pack.
This is not Abby's forte.
She wins with steady, strong pace, not speed.
Come go-time she will get blasted.
But, I'm assuming she will get some form of $$$
And, if so, this means no outdoor track for her at Dartmouth?
Nice analysis, sounds reasonable.
I'll take the underdog D'ags.
at what point are we not wondering how a record that stood for 20 year can all of the sudden be attacked by 3 people on the same team?
Then 239 is 430 mile equivalent what happened to the 6 second rule Horwill talked about for women
lets see you run 112 in the 500 the next week you run 239? the hold on folks you do repeat 800 400 workouts where you finish at the same speed as when you raced full speed last week?
really? really and this week you are going to break the world junior record of 424 which is 2:39 then 600 in 145? right after it? NO WAY !!!!!!!
