Because he's not with NIKE, Letsrun erroneously reported that, I was correct when I originally said he's with Bowerman Athletic Club (not Nike). Thus, he gets nike gear and is not paid by Nike. Similar to how Club Northwest runners get a couple of free pairs of Brooks running shoes per year but no money from Brooks.

He's no getting salaried , he is on equipment , bonus and travel deal.
He's not dumb enough to go and think he is going to get some other shoe deal at this point in his career. Not burring his bridges he may get to use nike facilities etc.
So if he is not getting paid by Nike these days, does he have any income at all?

Well hopefully he bamked some of that $$$ he made with Nike. 250K per year allows one to sock a lot of it away for a rainy day.
Usually I cheer for pros to hang on as long as they possibly can...but not this time.
Webb just doesn't look like he is enjoying this - it looks like he is doing it because he doesn't know what else to do with his life.

This is one case where I can't imagine the athlete coaching anyone.

uh, he just ran 4:02 indoors. Supposedly in 5k shape.
It would be fun to see him have to race in Europe with money on the line. 10 races maybe, some low key. In 3:56-52/3:39-35 shape.
