Mary Cain about to run a 500 at gotham cup

I take that back I think she is doubling. She ran the 500 before

I just watched the live feed and she was racing and won by quite a large margin, does anybody there have a time?

My teammate there said 72 for the 500 and 2:07 for the 800

I am at the Armory but was too muddleheaded to start my watch on time. Actually, I didn't even realize it was Mary Cain racing until the last lap of the 800. I wasn't here in time for the 500.

After her 1st race in @OregonPJT kit, @runmarycain was all smiles! 2:08.51 for win in 800, 1:12.43 for 2nd in 500m

Wow she's like the anti Galen Rupp in interviews. So charasmatic. That was a great interview.

How fast can Mary Cain run in a 1k? She honestly may be one of the best in America in the event. I think she's faster than Simpson at 800. Martinez may be the only one that has the upper hand. I'm excited to see what she does on Thursday. I'm going to sub 2:36! Also excited to see what Wilson does. Do we think Rowbury can be competitive at 1k? I hope Hasay shows up but 1k is definitely an event where she'll get buried on the kick.

How was her form? Was there a noticeable difference?

Yes I think so. From my angle, it looked like she could still adjust her arm carriage a bit, but she seemed to have better posture than what I remember in other races.

Mary's arms were very relaxed before, just floating along and using no energy.

Now she is working them, lifting them up and wasting energy with no benefit, so I think the change was not good.

Also the new arm action is throwing her legs off balance and she's running more jerky than before.
