So Ryan Hall is not part of the John Hancock elite field at Boston, does this mean he goes to London or Paris to try and set the official AR. He also is not running the US Half Marathon Champs so this is assuming he will be healthy and running in the spring

I was wondering what his plans this spring are as well. Anyone know what marathon Ryan is planning to DNS or DNF this spring?
I really doubt he will run a spring marathon this year. He is just too banged up (hip bursitis) and probably had to spend 4-6 weeks doing minimal training to get healthy after DNS in NY. The odds of re-injury would have been too great had he gone from injury rehab right into a marathon training cycle for the spring. He will probably do a feel paid half marathons for RnR (New Orleans, San Diego, etc.) and try to get healthy for a solid fall and spring marathon before the Olympic trials and 2016. It would actually be a smart move to be patient and get healthy instead of risking something very serious.
Hall stated not too long ago that he wants to work on his speed in 2014. It wouldn't surprise me if he completely bypasses a spring marathon and jumps back on the track this spring (5k/10k). Taking a break from the marathon could be the perfect thing for him to come back this fall refreshed and ready to get back to his past successes on the roads.
On the other hand, there is a spring World Marathon Major other than Boston and London, it just happens to be sponsored by Ryan Hall's sponsor, Asics, and it has not yet announced its elite field.

It’s the two-year anniversary since the fastest American-born marathoner in history last finished a marathon. Two years ago, on January 14, 2012, he was second at the 2012 US Olympic Trials in Houston.
Maybe he could do some local low key marathon to get a solid win in.
