Come Monday morning there is a pretty good chance I could beat his time in about -38 temps. Footwear might be the only problem.

I did 5K Wednesday morning at -40°F actual air temperature -- love the cold!

Meh. 5 hour marathon? Sorry, if he's dressed properly, this really isn't much of a feat. Ya, it's cold, but that's shuffling.

I've gone running at -46c and I've had friends who've run at -50c. (-46c legit, the wind chill was colder.)

I did 1:30 13 mile long run in -38 last week why don't I get a letsrun thread?

Siberian man jogs 26 miles at -36F.

I've done 20 at -33F @ sub 7. It's no big deal.

Running 20 @ sub 5 min pace @ -36F might be a big deal, but

I doubt it.

for everybody who's saying they've run in -30s or -40s as well, what the hell did you wear?

More importantly than what you wore, where do all these people live that are posting about running in -30 and -40 degree temperatures?

Since I make $200K/year, I have a second house in Russia. I often travel their during the winter to run 14:30 5Ks on ice in -36 degree weather. This is not a big deal. My daughter could run a 5 hour marathon in -36 degrees and she's just a high school runner.
