well this will be interesting - he's putting his a^% on the line.
Brooks. Announcement to follow.
Wasn't Manzano supposed to announce something today?
Looks like he has plenty of ad space left.
What does this mean for coaching, LRC people? Will he remain w/ OTC elite?
With that ass, Nick should go to Malibu again where he trained in the past. He'd be a major boy toy like Ronald Reagan.
Why would someone who was second at Worlds last summer get dropped???? Makes no sense
Is it creepy that 80% of the responses on his Twitter feed are guys?
He hasn't gotten dropped. He made a choice.
Sounds like he is going to see if he can walk the walk and create some sort of alternative non-shoe company income. Good luck to him- I hope he can help other athletes with this.

Question is, did Nike dump him for speaking his mind or did he decide to dump the evil empire? I know he spent some time with Leo at La Loma (and the additional strength may have factored in his silver), some time in Malibu, and there was talk about him maybe moving to Beverly Hills (to be near Paris?), so this is something he might have been planning.
There are several options outside Oregon, including going with Joaquim Cruz in San Diego and Johnny Gray (now in Orlando I believe).

Probably because of his radical views.

just a guess based on what he has been saying for the past year or two.
He is a phenomenal runner and fantastic for the sport. Running needs shaking up from top to bottom. Maybe he can do it and do what Prefontaine and Shorter did for professionals and recreational runners in the 1970s. Revitalize the whole sport in the process. Make running events viewed more favorably with the public so less races are cancelled because someone's commute is inconvenienced.
Thank you Nick.
Yeah, I don't think it's accurate to say Leo was dropped. He just didn't get what he thought he was worth.
Geena Gall also just got dropped by Nike today.
