Im wondering if those days of recovery are 0 mileage or just an easy run

nvm, didnt see total mileage stat. theres definitely mileage plenty of mileage there
Impressive. I really like that she is posting her training. I am so tired of runners thinking that their training is some great secret that they cannot let out or else their competitors will have a big advantage. Keeps the sport from growing an audience (or holding on to what audience is left).
i would think she could break 15 this up coming yr based on these workouts
Looks like she could run a decent 10K at this point, and she's the world champs 800m bronze medalist. Sheesh....
What's an anaerobic tempo?

5 @ 5:07, 4 @ 5:05
Pretty insane stuff. It definitely looks like the workouts of a 5k/10k runner. 5 mile tempos in 25:35? She has to be close to sub 15 shape right now.
She's had some insane improvement since college. What were her college times like? Its almost unnatural how much she has improved.
In contrast to NOP, I admire her openness and badazzness for posting something like this. Not only does it benefit the running community, but her as well. For example, Brenda, you need to recharge your iPad immediately!
25:35 5 mile on track for training run? Dang.
I believe she has a male pacer for must of her hard runs (tempo and interval). Smart decision, might allow her to push harder in training.
Running times - 3 weeks before Moscow - peaking workouts
" Track workouts consisted of all-out quarters in 54–55 seconds, all-out 300s, 3-mile anaerobic tempo runs hovering around 5-minute pace, and 6- to 7-mile aerobic tempo runs at 5:50- to 6-minute pace."

Just add up the mileage listed and compare it to the total mileage for each week: the recovery days have to involve easy runs.

She said on Instagram that her recovery days are doubles that are AM: 5 and PM: 5 with no watch "just enjoying the run"

1 or 2 repetitions of 20 minutes slightly above the anaerobic threshold, i.e., "traditional" tempo runs. The other way is more like the Africans, with somewhere around 60 minutes slightly below the AT (but above steady state).

She did not really come from a big name program to now being coached by joe vigil. I think consistency in improving her aerobic base over 2 yrs under the watch of vigil is paying off. She has always had the speed but now she has speed and endurance. 203 and 413 were the fastest prs i had seen, those were hit her junior yr.
