She doesn't pass the "blink test." What is that? It's when you look at each competitor for just the blink of an eye and have that gut reaction that raises the red flag or not.
The red flag goes up doing the blink test even for a still frame on this lady.
When actually seeing her run, the thought that comes to mind is, "Who let the donkey in this race?" Then she wins? That's what you call "not normal". The fact she has too much muscle is questionable, but the way she moves her arms like a XC skiier just makes the whole farce too obvious.
Even the look on her eyes after she bends over to the kiss ground; she looks scared.
Her compatriot doesn't hide it much better, but at least she's thin.
Unfortunately, in such a race you can't even say Rowbury was third best for sure. The race would have played out completely different without the athletes that shouldn't have been in there.
I was shocked to see this on BBC news just a few minutes ago.
So basically, Turkish anti-doping thinks there is nothing wrong.. I'm sure the IAAF will appeal this to back up its biological passport.
Given that women's 1500 (and events in general) looks like it's so easily dopable (and people have suspicions on the men's as well), I'm surprised there isn't more focus on it.
I'm still incensed that Rowbury doesn't have that bronze. And I'm not even American, but GB. But that said, Dobriskey has lost a similar bronze from 2008. What makes the story even weirder is the whole 2013 WC debacle, where the likely Olympic Bronze winning Rowbury was shafted by the USA/rules for 1500. It's like Athletics is just trying to shoot itself in the foot collectively at all levels.
Poster above - you are right. I think Jamal and Aregawi gave up when they saw the Turks would get to the line first... it should have been a thrilling photo finish between the two best 1500m runners, with Rowbury outkicking the rest behind to take an upset bronze, a bit like Manzano/Centrowitz. And with the extra dopers in the field, runners got taken out in both races (Uceny?).
Could this be grounds for banning Turkey from the Olympics entirely? They evidently don't care about doping at all.
Dude you said what I was thinking but in a eloquent manner. She looked so manly running, very weird. It's hard to explain but she just "looked" abnormal and steroidy, Then they go 1,2???? Hell no.

That would be nice, but what is more likely is that moderate sums of money will grease some palms to keep Turkey in, which is terrible. An example needs to be made out of someone and Turkey is the best country to use. Maybe Russia, Jamaica, and India should go too.
Technically the IAAF can still launch an appeal with CAS (which I really hope they do!!)
Turkey is no worse than the US with regards to doping. Start with banning the US from the Olympics before picking on hapless Turkey.
The only way she differs from the kenyans is that you guys BELIEVE that kenyans are 'naturally' fast. She is just as clean as kenyans/ethiopians at that level.
Perhaps she was innocent as is Tyson Gay, judging from your quote of the day
They are both dopers and should be banned for life
Careful or you will be charged with insluting Turkishness, which is a crime in Turkey....

I don't agree with that, some may dope but they have the advantage of being born at altitude and no way can be compared to countries like Spain, Turkey and Morroco. Just check their doping records
Just check their out of competition testing record!
She looked so un.... ivy league.
I mean.... not WADA / Radcliffe approved.
Definitely a doper... and not a friend of GWB.

Yes, but the other nations have been busted even in big comps and most importantly do not have anywhere near the EA's No of top athletes. Kenyans are listed in IAAF out of comp test but assume that not blood tests
I don't agree that EPO will have no effect on high altitude natives but there has to be a law of diminiishing returns.
Do you really think only American sprinters dope, you can bet your bottom dollar if an Kenyan is on EPO so is there American rival (and training partner!)

Well then let's have international competions for the dopers only - qualifications, have to have tested positive at least once in a four pear period.
I always get irritated when pundits start pointing the finger at any elite athlete who has improved, say a relatively unknown (dark horse) appears on a podium or sets a WR.
Unless these unknown Jamaican athletes test positive there are no grounds to be spreading runours!!
