Since XC season was over I've been doing some solid running, mostly easy running but every day. I made it all through November running 7 days a week, and I felt great. Worked up from 45 mpw to a couple weeks of 55. Then I started a week of 60 and got a sore foot that I couldn't run on for a solid week. This Saturday I got back into running, went for an easy 5. Sunday went for another easy 6. Now this morning my foot was completely healed, but my hip is too sore to run. It's not the soreness that I'm comes with running and exercise, it's acute pain when I try to run. Last time I tried gutting it out when I felt like that it only extended my time out from running.
SO I want to get my mileage up again asap, eventually up to 80 mpw, but what mileage should I start out at when I get back into it? And how fast can I increase mileage since I already have a decent base?
