Should be a good one. The last major international of the year (Honolulu is slow).

I meant to add that Gebre Gebremariam is seeded #1. Andrew Carlson is also entered.

both of them have pulled out.
coolsaet ftw.
Alistair Cragg is running. I think the guy is capable of sub 2:10 if not faster in the marathon. I just hope he goes out and tries to, 1st and foremost, finish this one. I think he would do himself a huge favour if he goes out at like 65:30 and just tries to get a sub 2:12 under his belt and then keep progessing from there. Don't do what he did in Beantown a few years ago and hit the half in 63 then have to DNF.
Late edition. Just read a tweet that he is hoping to go Sub 2:10 at this race.
Good luck Alistair. Run fast and vasbyt.

I think he finishes this one. He has gone back to Coach Mac and I think it has brought back some of the love for running. Hell if it brings back even half the mojo he had as a razorback then he i sgoing to rock.
Mathathi or Gitau, probably. Maybe Fujiwara.
Definitely capable of sub 2:10, could go even faster if things go well. From what I hear he has had a long injury free preparation time. Also he. Has not dnfs in a race in a while
Just noticed that Clint Verran and Bobby Curtis are entered as well.
Andrew Lemoncello( UK based in USA) is also on the entry list.

He also hasn't started a marathon in a while.
Yuki MF Kawauchi
Cragg paced Teg evenly for 35k at Chicago. Heck he should've just finished that one out. The guy had already run almost 22 miles in Chicago, why not just finish at that point? He raced well in the NYC marathon 5k not that long after so obviously he could've banged out another solid 4.3 miles.
The Ethiopian.
The Canadian record of 2:10:08 is old and slow - 1975. Can Canada's current second fastest marathon runner take the record? He is back from injury...but will put himself in position:
Well, the Ethiopian is out. Looks like the Kenyan Joseph Gitau (2:06:58) is now the favourite.
I don't know, but did you know Frank Shorter won this race four years in a row.
Yeah, I'll have to go with Shorter.
Yeah, I'll have to go with Shorter.
