I love looking at maps (hard copy, preferably), following highways to look at places I've been and places I'd like to go.

Haha, I'm the same way. I like to look at the places I've been, the drives I've done, compare distances, look at different routes to get from one city to another, etc. I love highway maps. I was in a hotel in Montana with a state map that had to be about 30" X 40" with fine detail and lots of minor roads across the state. I decided then and there I wanted something just like that of my state whenever I settle down somewhere.
Yep.

When I was young I decorated my room with maps instead of posters of baseball players or bands or whatever. I just liked looking at them for some reason. Now that I'm older, I still have a couple of maps up in my house, but they're hundreds of years old and framed and all that. Something about them has always fascinated me somehow.
I love Google Maps. I travel a lot, and I'll use street view to "drive" all around the random places I like to visit. I then take a screen capture of the places I want to see in person, build a big paper folder of them, then make a route to follow. Sometimes I look for landmarks from above that may not be obvious tourist places (like churches -- very easy to spot from above).
I prefer to use print copies of maps 'cuz I'm old school. And no GPS here....ever.
That's funny. I have two good friends that are really into maps. Apparently this is more common than I thought.
Oh yes!
