I'm running the Philly HM on Sunday.
Key workouts:
1. 8 x 1600m (solo) on track at 510 w/trainers. (1 lap jog at 745-815 pace).
2. 10 mile tempo at 5:25 pace on roads in windy conditions.
3. 20 mile LR. Miles 1-9 at 650 pace. Miles 10-12 fartlek w/miles going through at 545-550 pace. Miles 13-18 at 5:33 pace tempo. Miles 19-20 cooldown at 7:00 minute pace.
4. 6 x mile: 509, 509, 506, 508, 502, 505. 1 lap jog in between each mile repeat in approx. 1:55 to 2:10.
5. 4 mile tempo. 509, 516, 513, 514 (20:53 total).
6. 5K race. 16:07 solo effort on slightly rolling hills and windy conditions.
Weekly mileage: 85-100 for the last 8 weeks. Only 1 wk at 100 and 1 recovery wk at 74.
