I'm talking about the culture as defined by the government not the Chinese people. Those things are separate. And do you think the diaspora occurred because the culture is beneficial to those individuals? People don't flee a country because they really, really like it.

Have you ever payed attention to the treatment of females in China? Take a few minutes and research that.

Why is it pathetic to emulate somebody? We are all guilty of it in some form or fashion.

Also, you speak as if this is a common occurrence. How many Asians do you know who have undergone surgery to obtain 'white' eyes? An as a black guy I can tell you that black women wearing wigs is not common. Perming is the preferred method of straightening hair, and it has nothing to do with looking white. Black hair is curly and coarse and very difficult to manage. Straightening it makes it easier to deal with.

You said China; one doesn't know if you are referring to the people or the government. But I agree with the government being terrible, both past and current. Mao killed a LOT of people with his disastrous policies.
