I am running Boston 2014. Target time is sub 2:50 = 6:28 pace. I have an offer to pace a local marathon (Puerto Rico marathon)4 weeks before Boston. I can pace the 3:30 group and run at 8:00 per mile.
Is this a dumb idea? I have heard of people running the whole 26 miles in training and even longer. I have never done this and the longest I run in training is around 2:40.
Will this hurt me or is there a benefit from this?
