I agree with you El Keniano! If Jeptoo runs Berlin in that kind of shape and in the company of Florence Kiplagat, Lucy Kabuu and Mary Keitany, the latter three being in top shape as well, she is going to run sub 2:16! She can easily run 5'10 pace the whole 26.2 miles of a flat course like Berlin! I hope she runs it next year while she is RED HOT!
I was just thinking about this during the race.
Who is the best marathoner on Earth?
Priscah Jeptoo
Rita Jeptoo
Edna Kiplagat
Mary Keitany
It has to be one of these four.
I don't think Wangui Kabuu is in their league.
Personally, I think Keitany is the best when she is firing on all cylinders but even Rita is great.
Right now, I'd say it is a toss up between the two Jeptoos.
Yes, Priscah is phenomenal. No doubt.

76:00 for the first half
69:07 for the 2nd half
Impressive, but she ran too conservatively in the beginning

I agree.
What if she had run a minute faster in the first half?
I think she needs some balance but again, may be she knows what she is doing.
She made 625k today. I was just watching.

Her form is terrible, her arms swinging way out and her legs with a crazy high and outward kick, but she is super skinny and she just poured it on when she was approaching Deba and left her behind in no time.

It was super windy in the first half, on the bridge and such. Difficult conditions for the first part of the race. I believe her first few miles were like 5:50s
