Also, the guy that wrote the article used the headline "Kenyan wins 6th annual Indianapolis Monumental Marathon". Send this clown some angry letters to the editor.
I've run a faster 5K than Hadley, but her marathon today is 10+ minutes faster than me. She's a distance beast!

If an American won, would his name be stated, or would it is just say "American Won the Monumental Marathon"? If you won some races in high school, what did the headline say? White kid from Park Forest wins invite?
And the guy lives in the suburbs of Minneapolis won the marathon. State his name.

The world records for 49 and 16 are 2:30:17 and 2:31:51 respectively. The runs by De Reuck and Hadley were nice but not that noteworthy.

I'm a borderline Clydesdale, so I'm definitely stronger at the short stuff. Edit my comment to "She's more of a distance beast than me."

I can't answer for that poster but hundreds of men around the world run around 2:14 every year and they don't get threads on LRC celebrating their performances
